for everyone
Category:Movies
Genre: Comedy
Summary: (excerpted from wikipedia)
Strapped for cash after her recent graduation from college, Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) has an encounter in which she is believed to be a nanny. This quickly leads to potential employment with Mr. X (Paul Giamatti) and Mrs. X (Laura Linney), a wealthy Upper East Side couple looking for someone to care for their 5-year-old son, Grayer (Nicholas Art). He doesn't always listen though. Annie is a product of a working-class New Jersey family, where her mother (Donna Murphy) has dreams of her daughter becoming a respectable businesswoman. Meanwhile, Annie has her sights set on a career in anthropology. Suddenly, the prospect of working for some of the city’s social elite seems like a nice alternative. Annie has done some babysitting in the past, but she has no idea what she is getting herself into when she accepts the position. Mrs. X turns out to be the employer from hell – a pampered wife, whose increasingly outrageous demands take a considerable toll on Annie. Even worse, Mr. X is never around and even seems neglectful of Grayer at times and Annie is basically caught right in the middle of the couple’s crumbling marriage. For the next nine frenzied months, Annie is forced to juggle between the pair, their dysfunctions, their son, and a new love interest (Chris Evans). Words From Me:
The film was draggy at first but if you keep watching on, it is heart warming and best suited for mother's who doesn't have time for children. it is also suited for people who are undergoing self discovery just like Annie. I love her character here and how she ended up with "Harvard Guy" played by Chris Evans. (yeah.. he's the hottie of Fantastic Four, the human torch) Over all I loved this film because of the thought behind it.
